Overview

Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk role at Kroger Mountain View Foods. Select and gather products for customers' online orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality. Assemble customers' online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars when customers arrive at store for pick up. Provide a positive customer service experience that makes customers want to return to online shopping.

• Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk/In-Store Grocery Shopper selects and gathers products for customers' online orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality.
• In-Store Grocery Shopper initiates and completes the selection process for customers' online orders.
• Online Grocery Pick-Up team assembles online orders, processes coupons and payment, and delivers and loads orders to cars at pickup.
• In-Store Grocery Shopper scans and bags orders while following bagging standards.
• E-Commerce team communicates substitutions or exceptions to customers' order at pickup.
• Meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Receive customers' orders from Order Selector and store products in optimal temperature zones.
• Read and follow directions; ensure quality and freshness of all items.
• Communicate with customers via a portable phone in a professional and timely manner.
• Retrieve each customer's order from staging locations and load the order into the customer's car.
• Provide a positive customer service experience that encourages return to online shopping.
• Process orders through the POS system and follow policies for substitutions when items are out of stock.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
• Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies and invalid temperature types to the e-Commerce supervisor.
• Inspect equipment and notify store management of items needing repair.
• Perform required opening and closing procedures.
• Assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
• Meet/exceed productivity standards and work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment; manage conflicts professionally.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer and business issues.
• Provide support to interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Ability to work without supervision
• Ability to read shelf tags
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Desired Previous Experience:

• Experience as a personal shopper or in production/warehouse environments, stocking shelves, or as a cashier
