Overview

Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk at Kroger Mountain View Foods. Select and gather products for customers' online orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality. Assemble customers’ online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars when customers arrive for pickup. Provide a positive customer service experience that encourages online shopping and reflects the company values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

• Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk / In-Store Grocery Shopper: select and gather products for customers’ online orders with focus on freshness and quality.
• In-Store Grocery Shopper: initiate and complete the selection process for online orders.
• Assemble online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to customers’ cars at pickup.
• Scan and bag orders in real time while following bagging standards.
• Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers’ orders at pickup if needed.
• Meet or exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
• Adhere to all applicable laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Receive customer orders from Order Selector, store items in optimal temperature zones, and ensure order accuracy.
• Read and follow directions in note sections; respond to customers professionally and timely via a portable device.
• Provide a positive customer service experience that encourages repeat online shopping.
• Process orders through the POS system and determine appropriate substitutions for out-of-stock items.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment; report discrepancies or temperature issues to appropriate supervisors.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of items in need of repair; perform required opening and closing procedures.
• Assist in training new e-Commerce team members and meet productivity standards.
• Work cooperatively in high-paced or stressful environments; manage conflict professionally; exercise honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.

• Ability to work without supervision
• Ability to read shelf tags
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Experience as a personal shopper or in a production-oriented/warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or as a cashier
