Position involves selecting and gathering products for customers’ online orders, ensuring freshness and quality, assembling orders, processing coupons and payment, and delivering and loading orders to customers’ cars for pick up. • Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk / In-Store Grocery Shopper: select and gather products for customers’ online orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality.
• In-Store Grocery Shopper: initiate and complete the selection process for customers’ online orders.
• Assemble online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars for pick up.
• Scan and bag orders on the go while following bagging standards.
• E-Commerce team communicates substitutions or exceptions to customers at pick-up.
• Meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Receive customers’ orders from Order Selector, store products in optimal temperature zones.
• Read and follow directions in note sections; ensure quality and freshness of all items.
• Communicate with customers via a portable phone and respond professionally and timely.
• Retrieve each customer’s order from staging locations, ensure order accuracy, and load the order into the customer’s car.
• Provide a positive customer service experience that encourages return to online shopping.
• Process orders through the point of sale (POS) system.
• Follow policies to determine appropriate substitutions when items are out of stock.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
• Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies and invalid temperature types to the e-Commerce supervisor.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of items needing repair.
• Perform required opening and closing procedures.
• Assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
• Meet/exceed productivity standards; work cooperatively in high-paced and sometimes stressful environments.
• Manage conflict in a reasonable, non-confrontational and cooperative manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer and business issues.
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Ability to work without supervision
• Ability to read shelf tags
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
• Excellent oral/written communication skills

• Any experience as a personal shopper or in a production-oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or experience as a cashier
