. This role involves selecting and gathering products for customers' online orders, ensuring freshness and quality, assembling orders, processing coupons and payments, and delivering and loading orders to customers' cars vide a positive customer service experience that encourages customers to return to online shopping and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

• Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk / In-Store Grocery Shopper selects and gathers products for customers' online orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality.
• In-Store Grocery Shopper initiates and completes the selection process for customers' online orders.
• Online Grocery Pick-Up team assembles online orders, processes coupons and payments, and delivers and loads orders to customers' cars at pickup.
• In-Store Grocery Shopper scans and bags orders on the go while following bagging standards.
• E-Commerce team including Online Grocery Pick-Up associates communicates substitutions or exceptions to customers at pickup time.
• Meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Receive customers' orders from Order Selector, store products in optimal temperature zones.
• Read and follow directions in the note section.
• Ensure quality and freshness of all items chosen.
• Communicate with customers via portable phone and respond to calls professionally and timely.
• Retrieve each customer's order from staging locations and ensure order accuracy; load order into customers' cars.
• Provide a positive customer service experience that encourages customers to shop online again.
• Process orders through the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Follow policies and procedures to determine appropriate substitutions when items are out of stock.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
• Report pricing, scanning, and item-location discrepancies and temperature issues to the e-Commerce supervisor.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of items in need of repair.
• Perform required opening and closing procedures.
• Assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
• Meet/exceed productivity standards.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
• Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Ability to follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer and business issues.
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults, as applicable.
• Must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Position Qualifications

• Ability to work without supervision
• Ability to read shelf tags
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Desired Previous Experience

• Experience as a personal shopper or in a production-oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or experience as a cashier
