Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk

Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk at Kroger selects and gathers products for customers' online orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality. Assembles customers' online orders, processes coupons and payments, and delivers and loads orders to cars when customers arrive at the store for pick up. Provides a positive customer service experience that encourages customers to shop online again.

• Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk / In-Store Grocery Shopper selects and gathers products for customers' online orders efficiently with attention to freshness and quality.
• In-Store Grocery Shopper initiates and completes the selection process for customers' online orders.
• Online Grocery Pick-Up team assembles online orders, processes coupons and payments, and delivers and loads orders to cars when customers arrive for pick up.
• In-Store Grocery Shopper scans and bags orders on the go while following bagging standards.
• E-Commerce team including Online Grocery Pick-Up associates communicates substitutions or exceptions to customers at time of pick-up.
• Meet or exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Receive customers' orders from Order Selector and store products in optimal temperature zones; ensure order accuracy.
• Read and follow directions in the note section; ensure quality and freshness of all items.
• Communicate with customers via a portable phone and respond to calls in a professional and timely manner.
• Retrieve each customer's order from all staging locations and load order into customer's car.
• Provide a positive customer service experience that makes customers want to return to online shopping.
• Process orders through the POS system and follow policies to determine appropriate substitutions for out-of-stock items.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
• Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies and invalid temperature types to the e-Commerce supervisor.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of items in need of repair; perform required opening and closing procedures.
• Assist in training new e-Commerce team members and meet/exceed productivity standards.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment and manage conflict in a professional, non-confrontational manner.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues; act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults, as applicable.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Ability to work without supervision
• Ability to read shelf tags
• Basic math skills (i.e., counting, addition, and subtraction)
• Excellent oral/written communication skills

• Any experience as a personal shopper or in a production oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or experience as a cashier
