Online Grocery Pick‑Up Clerk – Fred Meyer, Portland, Oregon

Join Fred Meyer as an Online Grocery Pick‑Up Clerk. You will select, gather, and pack customers’ online grocery orders, process coupons and payments, and load orders into cars for customer pickup. You’ll provide a positive customer‑service experience and uphold Fred Meyer’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Minimum Position Qualifications
  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Ability to read shelf tags.
  • Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Desired Previous Experience
  • Experience as a personal shopper, in a warehouse or production environment, stocking shelves, or as a cashier.
Essential Job Functions
  • Select and gather products for online orders with attention to freshness and quality.
  • Initiate and complete selection of customers’ online orders.
  • Assemble orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver/load orders to cars at pickup.
  • Scan and bag orders on the go following bagging standards.
  • Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers at pickup.
  • Meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
  • Adhere to food safety procedures and company guidelines.
  • Store products in optimal temperature zones and follow staging location instructions.
  • Use POS system to process orders.
  • Manage out‑of‑stock substitutions and report discrepancies.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas.
  • Assist in training new e‑commerce team members.
  • Meet productivity standards and work cooperatively in a high‑paced environment.
  • Follow directions and resolve customer and business issues.
