Store Manager I, Outlet
Buddy's Home Furnishings
Responsibilities- Leads the store to ensure achievement of business goals in revenue, expense reduction, cost recovery, customer satisfaction, inventory shrinkage and Associate morale
- Selects, coaches, and develops strong and effective management and Supervisor/Lead Associates; develops a diverse, high performance team; sets and manages high standards, which include taking decisive action with underperformers; and focuses on positioning high performers for growth opportunities
- Holds store team members accountable for their individual contributions based on their roles and responsibilities
- Manages the customer experience within the stores
- Acts as the Customer Solutions Champion (CSC)
- Adheres to operational and selling processes (i.e., Shipping, Receiving, Pricing, Acct. 112, Deluxing, and Testing) and ensures performance standards are met
- Manages all Human Resources (HR) transactional processes including staffing and training; assists in action plans to improve performance
- Ensures consistency of operational processes within the store. Accountable for maximizing Protection Agreements, credit and other miscellaneous income opportunities within the store
- Monitors and reacts to profitable revenue opportunities and aggressively support Vendor liquidation opportunities to improve gross margin and cost recovery
- Represents the Outlet Store Organization to all partners within the local market
- Understands and communicates to District and Home Office Staff, ideas or activities that would lead to cost recovery improvements
- Ensures that the store operates in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations and Company ethics policies
- Provides a safe working environment for both Associates and customers
- Partners with Product Service on merchandise repair issues
- Manages merchandise receipts, repair, and the shipping process through the Outlet Redistribution Center (ORC)
- Follows through with ORC team on communication with regard to backroom/store operations and merchandising directives
