About The Role
We are looking for a Buyer within our Online Team to deliver the Food to Order category plan on that attracts and retains customers to drive sales and margin. Manage the Food to Order range, looking to innovate and ensure the range is relevant all year round. Own the relationship with suppliers and find opportunities to increase market share. Interacts with the category trading team to understand Supermarket strategy and adapt to the Online shopper.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Responsible for delivering category plan on
Ownership of sales & margin
Working with end to end stakeholders both internal and external
Working in a fast paced and dynamic Online environment
Build and deliver the customer focused category plan that feeds into the supermarket category plan
Build a digital plan for your area with marketing and suppliers that drives sales
Improve margin through pricing, range and promotional tactics
Drive availability and supplier inbound discussions for your area ensuring customer availability at doorstep
Liaise with marketing teams to ensure we drive traffic and conversion
Work collaboratively with the wider Online, Marketing and finance teams to category strategy plan on
Work with wider Trading, Supply and Logistics teams to improve customer NPS
This role is based at our fantastic head office in Bradford. Boasting an on-site restaurant, coffee shop, convenience and sample store, prayer room, free parking and regular company-wide events and promotions. Ideally, applicants will live within a reasonable distance of our office.

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has:
Understanding of website functionality
Understanding Online Customer Habits
Category consumer behaviour
P&L management
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, able to balance weekly trading with long term strategic growth initiatives
Excellent customer focus and Online competitor awareness
Negotiation skills
Experience of working within an e-commerce or commercial trading team
Proven track record of consistent delivery against set Key Performance Indicators
Experience of working cross functionally; ability to influence decisions at different level
