We are looking for a current Merchandiser or experienced Assistant Merchandiser to support our Kidswear and Accessories products as part of our Merchandising team. The role is based in the office Monday – Thursday, with remote work on Fridays.

Plan and deliver sales and gross‑margin targets for a specified channel/product category. Manage range assortment and architecture to maximise sales, stock and margin while analysing trends to maximise profitability.

• Understand the retail marketplace by channel, competitors and growth opportunities or risks.
• Deliver key merchandise metrics including gross margin and inventory targets against set KPIs.
• Define and forecast a clear category product‑range hierarchy aligned with price, end use, attribute, size/fit and purchase.
• Develop range, assortment and purchase plans for the specified product area with support from the assistant merchandiser.
• Maintain merchandise plan for sales/dispatch, stock, markdown and gross margin across retail channels in line with gender targets at seasonal and weekly levels.
• Optimise stock against inventory targets.
• Analyse stock and sales data to inform trading decisions, pricing and markdown activity to meet clearance/margin targets.
• Maintain accurate merchandise master data.
• Build relationships with stakeholders in the trading function to drive best practice.

• Experienced Assistant Merchandiser or Assistant Buyer.
• Knowledge of the full end‑to‑end value chain, consumer behaviours and market trends.
• Multi‑channel experience.
• Previous Assistant Merchandiser / Junior Merchandiser; management and trading experience desirable.

• Excellent forecasting knowledge.
• Excellent Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Deep market understanding used to deliver accurate seasonal merchandise plans.
• Meet gross‑margin and inventory targets.
• Clear range architecture across price, attribute, end use, size and fit.
• Accurate commercial range, assortment, distribution and purchase plans.
• Optimised stock across channels to maximise margin.
• Timely promotions, markdowns and price activity executed with accurate reporting.
• Up‑to‑date merchandise master data reflecting demand.
• Strong partner relationships used to influence decision‑making.
