Buying Assistant

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-driven Buying Assistant to join our commercial team and play a vital role in bringing our category plans to life. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and enjoys working at the heart of trading, product, and supplier activity.

In this role, you’ll work closely with Category and Trading Managers to support range reviews, promotional planning, pricing activity, and supplier coordination. From ensuring commercial deadlines are met to resolving product and pricing queries, you’ll be a key contributor to the smooth and successful running of the category.

You’ll need to be highly organised, analytically minded, and confident working with data, with strong Excel skills and a sharp eye for detail. If you have a natural commercial awareness, enjoy problem-solving, and love working in a dynamic Buying Head Office environment, this role offers excellent exposure and development opportunities within a growing retail business.

• Support range reviews, promotional planning, pricing activity, and supplier coordination alongside Category and Trading Managers.
• Ensure commercial deadlines are met and resolve product and pricing queries to keep the category running smoothly.
• Work with data and analytics to inform buying decisions and category performance.

• Highly organised with analytical mindset.
• Confident working with data and strong Excel skills.
• Commercial awareness and problem-solving ability; comfortable in a fast-paced retail environment.
