As a Junior Ecommerce Merchandiser
, you’ll support the Digital Merchandising team in driving performance across the Toolstation website and app. You’ll manage a number of product categories, analyse sales performance, optimise product presentation and help deliver a seamless customer experience.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in digital merchandising who is keen to use their initiative, take accountability and develop their potential as part of a supportive and fast-growing team. It is particularly suited to someone currently working as a Junior Ecommerce Merchandiser, Online Merchandising Assistant, Digital Merchandising Assistant
, or in a similar role, who is looking to take the next step in their career.
- Support the ecommerce merchandising function in the weekly trading of digital departments
- Analyse and optimise product categories using performance data and customer insights
- Create and manage the upload of campaigns, deals and new products to the website and app
- Build and maintain landing pages to support promotional and campaign activity
- Own the implementation and accuracy of website and app signposting
- Maintain shared merchandising plans and ensure updates are delivered accurately and on time
- Review the customer journey
, identifying friction points and feeding improvement opportunities back to the wider team - Monitor competitor digital activity, trends and functionality
, sharing insights with stakeholders - Keep up to date with search trends and use data to inform optimisation opportunities
- Build strong relationships across Digital, Trading and wider business teams
- Some experience working in ecommerce or digital merchandising
- Confidence in the basic principles of a Search and Merchandising tool
- Strong analytical skills with experience of analysing data and producing reports
- Comfortable working with numbers, digital tools and technical systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Basic HTML knowledge
- Experience using a CMS and/or PIM system
- Analytical, detail-oriented and commercially aware
- A strong team player who enjoys collaborating and supporting others
- Customer-focused, with a passion for delivering a great online experience
- Proactive, self-motivated and confident using initiative
- Eager to learn, develop and take on increasing responsibility
