Position: Senior National Account Manager (Interim)
Overview

Senior National Account Manager (Interim) – a 6-month contract for a Northern-based FMCG company offering a home-based role, flexible and people-focused environment with strong growth and development opportunities. Experience with in Top 4 Grocery Retail, ideally Tesco, is highly valued.

A rare 6-month contract has arisen for a Northern-based FMCG company with a strong platform for growth, incredible brands and investment in innovation. They offer an inclusive way of working, and real opportunity for personal development for someone well-versed in Grocery Retail.

This opportunity is home-based and focuses on developing strategic partnerships both externally and internally, with genuine accountability and a people-focused culture. You will be expected to make a difference during the contract term and gain valuable experience working with them.

The role has arisen due to growth and internal promotions. The team is stretched, and to sustain growth and service, they need someone who can step in and deliver quickly while the permanent hire is recruited.

Responsibilities
  • National Account Controller / SNAM (Grocery Retail) for a significant part of the business – a strategic, high-visibility, high-output role.
  • Overall P&L management and delivery, implementing activity and developing relationships, strategic partnerships and better ways of working across the supply chain.
  • Work alongside the Sales Director to deliver strategic plans, identify key growth opportunities, and develop a plan to win.
  • Ensure continuous delivery of service and growth, developing strategic partnerships.
Qualifications
  • Depth of knowledge within Grocery Retail, having operated across multiple customers; ideally Tesco.
  • Strategic senior national account management / channel lead or controller experience within FMCG Grocery Retail specifically.
  • People-oriented with strong relationship-building skills and the ability to navigate complexity to see bigger opportunities.
  • Detail-focused with strong numeracy to spot growth opportunities and optimise P&L and margins.
