After 15 years of building incredible communities in Leeds and Birmingham, we’re at an exciting turning point. In September 2026, we’re launching CHS Manchester at the AO Arena – and we’re looking for a Buyer Engagement Manager to help build the buyer base from the ground up. This is an account management role where relationships are everything. You’ll own the entire buyer journey – from initial recruitment through to event day and beyond – ensuring event professionals have an exceptional experience at every touchpoint with CHS.
The RoleYou’ll be working across five key areas:
Buyer Recruitment & Pipeline ManagementYou’ll proactively recruit buyers across multiple industry sectors to attend CHS Manchester (your primary focus) and support our Inspirational Venue Roadshows when required. You’ll self-source leads through research, networking, and leveraging your industry contacts. You’ll qualify all buyers according to CHS guidelines and maintain a strong, accurate pipeline in Hub Spot.
Account Management & Relationship BuildingYou’ll own the full buyer journey from initial outreach through to post-event follow-up. You’ll build genuine, long‑term connections with event professionals where trust and engagement matter more than just hitting numbers. You’ll be their trusted advisor and main point of contact throughout their CHS experience.
Buyer Experience & LogisticsYou’ll handle all buyer enquiries, from accommodation and travel requirements to general logistics and event‑day queries. You’ll manage pre‑event communications, confirmations, and troubleshooting with professionalism and warmth. You’ll be present on‑site at events as the key contact for your buyers, then follow up afterwards to maintain relationships and gather feedback.
Data Management & ReportingYou’ll keep Hub Spot updated and accurate at all times, provide weekly reporting on pipeline status, recruitment numbers, and forecasting. You’ll use data and analytics to inform decision‑making and improve your engagement strategies. The numbers matter, but they tell a story about the relationships you’re building.
Stakeholder Management & RepresentationYou’ll build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the events industry. You’ll attend industry events representing CHS. You’ll work collaboratively within a high‑energy, motivated team whilst being self‑sufficient as a remote worker. This is genuinely varied work. Some days you’ll be on the phone recruiting new buyers and nurturing existing relationships. Other days you’ll be on‑site at events ensuring your buyers have everything they need.
You’ll be the face of CHS to the event professionals who attend our shows.
2+ years in hotel sales, event agency account management, or similar client‑facing roles within the events/hospitality industry. Proven track record of achieving targets and KPIs. Experience managing client accounts through the full customer journey. Strong customer care skills, excellent written and verbal communication, high attention to detail, and strong organisational abilities.
Beyond the practical skills, we’re looking for someone who:- Genuinely loves people and relationship‑building. You’re not just ticking boxes – you’re creating connections that last. You care about making someone’s experience brilliant, not just getting them to confirm attendance.
- Is organised, resilient, and resourceful. You can handle rejection and bounce back quickly. You keep your pipeline full and your relationships warm. You’re motivated by targets but never at the expense of relationships or integrity.
- Knows the Manchester and Northwest events scene. You’ve got contacts, you understand the market, and you’re excited about championing a major new event in the city. You know who the key players are and how the industry works in this region.
- Can work independently but knows when to ask for support. You’re comfortable being a remote worker who manages their own time and workload. But you also understand when to loop in your team, when to ask for help, and how to collaborate effectively even when you’re not in the same room.
We’re building something special you’d like to be part of it, we’d love to hear from you.
We’ll review applications on a rolling basis, so don’t wait until the deadline if you’re interested.
