Position: Senior Buyer Retail, Food & Beverage
This is Alexander Faraday Recruitment are excited to be working with a growing retail, food & beverage business looking for a Senior Buyer to lead category strategy, manage key suppliers, and develop a high-performing buying team.

This is a predominantly home-based role with occasional travel to Head Office and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

* Own and deliver category buying strategy

* Lead range planning aligned to customer and sales mix

* Manage key supplier relationships and commercial terms

* Drive sales, margin, and performance through data-led decisions

* Identify market trends and new product opportunities

* Lead, coach, and develop junior Buyers

* Ensure smooth day-to-day buying operations and processes

About You

* 5+ years’ experience in a Buyer role

* Strong commercial and analytical mindset

* Proven supplier negotiation and contract management experience

* Confident leading and developing teams

* Highly organised, proactive, and adaptable

Desirable

* Experience in food / drink categories

* Knowledge of retail or similar environments

* Relevant certifications (Food Safety / H&S)
