Overview

Responsibilities- Liaising with clients and their advisors to obtain construction and property documentation in an effective and efficient manner. This will involve remote access to the clients document management systems and maintaining knowledge of these systems.
- Researching the tax history of properties and reviewing legal documentation associated with property acquisitions.
- Advising clients on complex legal issues relating to their entitlement to capital allowances.
- Preparation of claims and reports with supporting evidence. This could include:
Capital allowance assessments, Asset life assessment, Insurance assessment. In all cases provide suitably detailed project descriptions. - Building and maintaining relationships with clients.
- Mentoring and training to other team members if required.
- Complete all relevant tasks as requested by senior staff members to be completed in the required time frame. This could involve a specified number of schemes to be completed in strict time frame.
- Work to be completed to a standard that requires minimal input and revisions from senior staff.
- Taking initiative to seek information from relevant sources when required and to follow up accordingly.
- Maintain communication with wider team, especially in regard to project progress.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Ability to manage vast amounts of data.
- Analytical skills.
- Client relationship management.
- The ability to negotiate, influence and deliver results in a client facing role.
- Deal diplomatically with a wide range of stakeholders in a flexible environment, subject to change.
- Prioritise and self-manage with the ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
- Manage conflicting priorities and organise workloads in conjunction with the appropriate Partner.
- Cope with demanding and changing time frames.
- Demonstrate a high degree of integrity.
- Working knowledge of tax incentives and preparation of claims on various property types/investments.
- Experience of fixed asset accounting systems.
- A continuous commitment to obtain professional qualifications from a relevant discipline, i.e. RICS, ATT etc.
