Clearance Merchandiser

Step into the new role of Clearance Merchandiser. You will be part of the Merchandising Ops team delivering Operational Excellence, taking a forward facing, solution based approach identifying risks and opportunities in every task that is undertaken.

• Optimise surplus sale stock through current channels, managing a markdown timeline and identifying exit routes to maximise profitability.
• Manage mid and end of season sale events, including item roll‑ups, reporting, channel planning, and stock builds adhering to targets set.
• Using current and future trading plans, identify the most suitable route for surplus stock across genders, categories, and price points working to terminal stock targets.
• Maintain a critical path for surplus stock, taking into account seasonality and product type.
• Managing pricing through the markdown critical path to maximise cash recovery.
• Develop and maintain a range of exit route options for surplus stock, prioritising profit recovery at every stage.
• Manage surplus stock (Mainline and Special Purchase) across the Outlet store estate, taking into account store capacities.
• Build and maintain relationships internal with a focus on finance, retail, marketing and product teams.
• Build and maintain relationships with the Next Production Operations team.
• Build recommendations based on clearance stock and feed back to product teams to inform future season planning and reduce repeat stock risk.

• Experience at Merchandiser or Senior Assistant level.
• Technical Savvy:
  Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills with high commercial acumen.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail, prioritising workload with calm, confident energy.
• Strong communication skills, negotiation, presentation, influencing others while approachable.
• Proven drive to get things done, bold optimism, willingness to embrace change and celebrate success collaboratively.
