Bij ASICS krijg je de kans om bij te dragen aan een omgeving waarin groei en welzijn belangrijk zijn.

Your role in our shared journey
The Retail Excellence Compliance Specialist is a newly created role within the Retail Excellence team, established to ensure that ASICS store operations across EMEA are consistent, compliant, and continuously improving. The role exists to verify that what should happen in our stores actually happens; reliably, at scale, and in line with operational, commercial, and regulatory standards.

Working across the retail network, the specialist conducts in-store audits, builds and delivers training to upskill store teams, identifies operational inefficiencies, and ensures effective use of non-selling payroll. As ASICS executes its plans for Retail, this role plays a critical part in embedding the operational foundations that will allow stores to be set up for success everyday.

This is a genuinely new role and there is no established playbook to inherit. The person who joins will have real freedom to shape how operational compliance and retail excellence works across the ASICS store network in Europe, and their work will directly underpin the growth of the business. This role will require regular travel to our retail stores throughout Europe.

Your key responsibilities will be:

Conduct structured in-store audits across Europe to ensure compliance with operational standards, inventory management, cash handling procedures, loss prevention measures, and health and safety regulations.

Create comprehensive corrective-action plans following audit findings and drive their resolution to maintain consistent operational excellence across all retail locations.

Design and deliver targeted training programmes for store teams focusing on operational standards, compliance requirements, and best practice implementation.

Partner with Human Resources and Store Operations teams to develop practical training content that addresses real-world operational challenges and compliance expectations.

Identify operational inefficiencies within store processes and develop data-driven recommendations to improve productivity and standardise operations across the EMEA retail network.

Evaluate and optimise non-selling payroll usage including training activities, operational tasks, and maintenance functions to ensure efficient resource allocation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and Workforce Management partners to implement process improvements and establish operational foundations for new store openings.

You have the following skills and experience:
Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

5–7 years of experience in retail operations, ideally within apparel, footwear, or specialty retail.

Hands-on experience in store operations, process auditing, compliance management, and/or operational training.

Proven track record of working directly with store teams and retail field management in a senior or specialist capacity.

Solid understanding of retail compliance frameworks, including JSOX, OH&S, or equivalent regional health and safety regulations.

Ability to work independently and travel regularly across the European retail network.

Skills & Competencies

Structured audit execution: plans, documents, and follows up findings through to closure.

Training and coaching delivery: designs effective programmes and can stand up in front of a store team to deliver them.

Process improvement: maps workflows, identifies gaps, and quantifies the efficiency gain of proposed changes.

Non-selling payroll management: understands budget alignment and efficiency levers in a retail labour context.

Analytical mindset: translates audit findings and operational data into clear, prioritised, actionable recommendations.

Strong influencer and stakeholder manager: comfortable driving change and gaining buy-in at store and field leadership level without direct authority.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint); familiarity with retail systems (e.g. Cegid, Store Force or equivalent WFM tools).

Fluent English (written and verbal); additional European language advantageous.
