Online Assistant

Job Overview

You will act as an Online Assistant, picking and selecting high‑quality products on the shop floor for online orders and providing suitable substitutions where items are out of stock.

• Use a handheld device to plan your route, identify products to pick, and meet completion time targets.
• Work behind the scenes to answer customer queries, process orders, and load delivery vans for Home Delivery drivers.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, offering product recommendations and assistance whenever required.
• Maintain a clean, organised store environment and ensure aisles are free of clutter.
• Carry shopping containers up to 15kg and adhere to health and safety guidelines.

• Above the school‑leaver age in your country (school leaving age–).
• At least 18years old if scheduled for shifts earlier than 6am or later than 11pm.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Capable of working early‑morning starts (typically 4am) and a fast‑paced, physical, high‑energy environment.
• Good attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Comfortable learning and using new digital tools and technology.

• Night‑shift premium: £2.45 per hour for work between midnight and 5am, where applicable.
• Discount card – 10% off at Sainsbury’s, Argos, Tu, and Habitat after four weeks; increases to 15% on Fridays and Saturdays.
