The Role
This part-time, entry-level contract position focuses on the intersection of financial analysis and emerging technology. You will work in a fully remote environment, collaborating with our principals to evaluate how automated tools handle complex economic data. Because we pride ourselves on being skeptical of the standard narrative, your job will be to find the cracks in the logic of automated outputs.

This is not about building the models, but about testing them against real-world friction to see where they fail. You will provide the human oversight necessary to ensure that our technology remains a reliable asset rather than a liability.

What You Will Be Doing

• Auditing AI-generated summaries of financial statements to ensure all figures are captured correctly.
• Creating and running test cases to see how changes in input data affect the resulting economic advice.
• Identifying and documenting errors in logic or calculation within automated reporting tools.
• Comparing automated projections against our internal spreadsheets to spot significant variances.
• Assisting with the organization of data used to verify the reliability of new software.
• Reporting on the specific contexts where automated tools provide value versus where they introduce risk.
• Keeping detailed logs of testing results to help refine our internal verification processes.
• Flagging instances where automated outputs contradict established accounting principles.

What You Bring

• Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree program in finance, accounting, or economics.
• A natural curiosity for how things work and why certain financial assumptions are made.
• High proficiency with Excel and a comfort level working with large sets of numerical data.
• The ability to write clearly and concisely without using corporate jargon or filler.
• Strong organizational skills to manage part-time hours and remote collaboration.
• A willingness to voice disagreement when you see a number or result that does not make sense.
• Basic understanding of financial statements (including balance sheets and P&L reports).
• A disciplined approach to repetitive tasks that require high levels of concentration.
