You do not need specific skills and experience, but the following would be useful:

• Willingness to learn new skills
• Happy to work as part of a team and under own initiative
• An interest in retail and customer service and up for trying a range of shop tasks
• Ability to work with MYMY’s policies and shop guidelines

We would be keen to hear from anyone with experience in online selling.

As a volunteer sales assistant you will develop skills that will boost your confidence:

• Improve your language and communication skills in this customer facing role
• Grow your confidence and meet new people
• Boost your CV by learning transferable skills
• Possible references for future employers

We can be flexible around your education, family, work or health etc.

• Received donations from the public and ensure they are stored safely
• Serve customers on the till and handle cash and card payments
• Sort, steam and price donated clothes, books, homewares according to policy
• Be a friendly face on the shop floor and provide excellent customer service
• Create a friendly shop environment to make everyone feel welcome
• Create attractive displays across the shop
• Keep the shop clean and tidy
