Online Assistant

Location: Kendal Store, Kendal, LA9 6DL

Pay: £13.23 per hour

Contract: Permanent, Part‑time, 20 hours per week

As an Online Assistant, you’ll be the special ingredient that supports a joyful shopping experience for our online customers, ensuring they receive everything they shop for.

• Must be above the school‑leaver age in your country.
• Shifts covering earlier than 6 am or later than 11 pm require a minimum age of 18.
• Must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK.

• Picking and selecting high‑quality products on the shop floor for online orders, including providing substitutions where products are out of stock.
• Using a handset that plans your route, outlines needed items and set completion times.
• Assisting with customer queries, processing orders and loading vans for Home Delivery Drivers.
• Offering proactive, friendly support to customers.
• Building deep knowledge of products, services and promotions to offer recommendations.
• Working flexibly across the store as required.

• Comfortable with early morning starts (often 4 am) and thriving in a fast‑paced, physical, high‑energy environment.
• Friendly, welcoming and genuinely enthusiastic about helping customers.
• Using initiative to solve problems and taking responsibility for tasks.
• Ready to work flexibly, productively and at a high standard across the store.
• Confident using new digital tools and technology to perform job duties and moving containers up to 15 kg.
• Attention to detail, keeping the store clean, clutter‑free and creating the best shopping experience.

• Night shift premium – £2.45 per hour between midnight and 5 am.
