The role:

A permanent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Management Accountant (Band
7) within East Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP), a partnership between NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and East Dunbartonshire Council that delivers community-based health and social care services. Reporting to the Principal Finance Manager, the postholder will be part of a finance team providing a comprehensive financial management service to Specialist Children’s Services (SCS) and the wider HSCP.All

other roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
Permanent, Full-time Shift Pattern
- Monday – Friday 9 am - 5 pm (Flexible)
Base location
- Kirkintilloch Health and Care Centre

Key responsibilities:

Provide an effective, responsive, and comprehensive financial management service to the HSCP.Fulfil the statutory financial obligations of the partnership.

Deliver monthly and annual financial reporting.

Support and contribute to transformation and service redesign projects across health and social care.

Assist in the development of services funded through Scottish Government investment to improve service delivery within Specialist Children’s Services.

Produce high-quality, accurate, and robust financial information to strict deadlines.

Maintain and develop financial systems that ensure the ongoing financial integrity of East Dunbartonshire HSCP.Provide financial support for:

Specialist Children’s Services budget of approximately 55.8 million.

Wider HSCP budget of approximately 173 million.

Line manage the Management Accountants within the finance team.

Develop and maintain effective working relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job: CCAB-qualified accountant (or equivalent), or able to demonstrate equivalent work experience, knowledge, and expertise.

Strong financial management and reporting expertise.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Advanced IT skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively across a range of professional disciplines and stakeholder groups.

Experience of managing staff and providing leadership within a finance team.

Ability to deliver accurate financial information and meet demanding deadlines.
