About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and results-oriented Remote Retail Merchandising Analyst to join their fully remote team. This role is critical in driving strategic merchandising decisions by analyzing sales data, market trends, and customer behavior to optimize product assortments and inventory levels. You will collaborate closely with merchandising, marketing, and operations teams to develop data-driven insights that enhance profitability and customer satisfaction.

- Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer purchasing patterns to identify merchandising opportunities and risks.
- Develop forecasts for product demand and inventory needs to optimize stock levels and minimize markdowns.
- Create comprehensive reports and dashboards to communicate key merchandising insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the merchandising team to plan product assortments, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
- Monitor the performance of product categories andSKUs, making recommendations for improvement.
- Support the implementation of new merchandising strategies and tools within the remote team structure.
- Proven experience as a Merchandising Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role in the retail industry.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent understanding of retail math, inventory management, and merchandising principles.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and clear recommendations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, essential for a remote work environment.
