About the Role
Our client is seeking a results-oriented Senior Project Manager with a specialization in the retail sector to join their team in Mossel Bay, Western Cape . This role will involve leading projects focused on store expansions, renovations, technology implementations, and operational improvements across their retail footprint. You will collaborate with marketing, operations, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure seamless project execution and successful business outcomes.
This is an exciting opportunity for a project leader with a keen understanding of retail dynamics to drive significant growth and enhance customer experience in Mossel Bay .
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of retail projects, including new store openings, refurbishments, and system rollouts.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring efficient allocation and cost control.
- Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., Merchandising, Operations, Marketing) and external vendors to achieve project objectives.
- Oversee site selection, design, and construction phases for new retail locations.
- Implement project management best practices tailored to the retail environment.
- Monitor project performance, report on progress, and proactively address risks and issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; PMP certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, with a significant focus on the retail industry.
- Demonstrated success in managing multi-site retail projects, store fit-outs, or retail technology implementations.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, supply chain, and visual merchandising principles.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools relevant to retail project execution.
