The Part-Time Sales Assistant role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, achieving sales targets, maintaining store standards, processing transactions accurately, and supporting daily store operations.

Successful candidates will help create a positive shopping experience while contributing to store performance and profitability.

• Welcome and assist customers as they enter the store
• Provide friendly and professional customer service
• Handle customer complaints and queries effectively
• Inform customers about promotions, specials, and new products

• Achieve individual and store sales targets
• Recommend products and upsell where appropriate
• Maintain product knowledge and stay updated on new merchandise
• Ensure shelves are fully stocked and neatly displayed
• Process customer payments accurately
• Operate the cash register according to company procedures
• Handle cash responsibly and maintain financial integrity
• Assist with balancing transactions and reporting discrepancies

• Receive and organize incoming stock
• Assist with stock replenishment and inventory control
• Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive store environment
• Support merchandising activities

• Follow company security procedures
• Assist in reducing stock losses and shrinkage
• Report suspicious activities to management
• Ensure compliance with store policies and procedures

To qualify for this opportunity, applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate
• Reside within 15km of the store location
• Clear criminal record
• South African citizen
• Good communication skills in English
• Passion for retail and customer service
• Ability to work under pressure
• Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and peak retail periods
