Home Sense is looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer‑focused Part‑Time Sales Floor Associate to join our team! In this role, you’ll help create a great shopping experience by assisting customers, maintaining an organized sales floor, and ensuring merchandise is properly prepared and available for our customers.
What You’ll Do- Provide friendly and engaging customer service throughout the store
- Assist customers in locating merchandise and answering questions about products
- Help customers safely select and move larger merchandise, including furniture
- Flow merchandise from the backroom to the sales floor as needed
- Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards
- Maintain merchandising standards and keep merchandise organized and properly displayed
- Perform store recovery throughout the day to maintain a clean and organized sales floor
- Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the entire store
- Support store shrink‑reduction goals and programs
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Work cooperatively with fellow Associates and Management
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback
- Maintain a safe environment for customers and Associates
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Excellent customer service skills
- Friendly, positive, and approachable personality
- Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Capable of multitasking in a fast‑paced retail environment
- Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
- Works effectively with peers and supervisors
- Able to lift 50 lbs. or more, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Comfortable assisting customers with furniture and larger merchandise
- Comfortable moving and flowing merchandise to the sales floor
- Dependable and punctual
- Open availability Monday through Sunday is required
- Retail or customer service experience preferred
