WooCommerce Catalogue Specialist; Remote, Part-Time
About us
We're a home décor business with an online shop on Word Press/Woo Commerce (Flatsome theme). We'll share the store link with shortlisted applicants.
The situation
Our shop is live with an existing product range. We're adding around 200 new items and cleaning up our existing listings, so customers can easily browse by product type and colour. We need a detail-oriented specialist to list products accurately and consistently, starting immediately.
This is a hands-on catalogue role,
not a marketing, social media or web design role.
What you'll do
Create new product listings from the photos and spec sheet we provide: titles, short and full descriptions, prices, images, categories, tags and the Colour attribute.
Set up variable products (one listing with colour options), with the correct image and price for each variation.
Update existing listings in place: new naming convention, improved descriptions, spec details and colour attributes. Existing products are never deleted or re-uploaded.
Do a colour audit of existing products: check each one against its photos and assign the correct colour(s).
Write original product descriptions. AI tools are welcome for drafting, but every description must be accurate to the spec sheet, original and reviewed by you.
Write SEO titles, meta descriptions and image alt text for each product.
Keep our master product sheet (Google Sheets) up to date: mark each item as uploaded and add its product link.
Check every listing before publishing: desktop and mobile preview, add to cart works at the right price, each colour option shows the right image and price, the product appears in the right category, and the specs match the sheet exactly.
Requirements
Proven hands-on Woo Commerce experience. Please share 1-2 stores you've listed products on.
Experience with variable products, product attributes and CSV product import.
Strong written English: clear, natural product copy, not generic AI filler. Able to communicate in English
Excellent attention to detail: consistent naming, accurate specs, no typos.
Comfortable with Google Sheets and following a fixed naming convention and checklist.
Basic Canva skills (cropping and resizing).
Pay
Per-listing rate, paid fortnightly on approved listings after a QA check. Rate details are shared by email with applicants.
