Research Administrator Post Award Internal Medicine Cardiology Mcv Main Campus

The Research Administrator provides comprehensive post-award research administration support for the Internal Medicine and Cardiology departments at VCU School of Medicine. This role manages the lifecycle of sponsored research projects, ensures compliance with federal and institutional regulations, and serves as the primary liaison between Principal Investigators, department leadership, and central research administration offices. The position involves financial management, effort reporting, budget reconciliation, and timely submission of sponsor reports.

Remote work is available for candidates outside the Richmond metro area.

• 2+ years of direct pre- and post-award research administration experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency in budget development, financial analysis, expense forecasting, and financial reconciliation
• Ability to interpret and apply complex government regulations and contractual terms
• Excellent customer service and written/verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe
