Our client, a reputable retail chain, is looking for a motivated and experienced Assistant Retail Store Manager to support the Store Manager in overseeing operations in Benoni

• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing all aspects of store operations, including sales, customer service, and staff management.
• Supervise and motivate the retail team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Support the achievement of sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Assist with inventory management, including stocktakes, ordering, and maintaining stock accuracy.
• Ensure that visual merchandising standards are maintained and that the store is presented attractively.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assist in managing staff schedules and ensuring adequate floor coverage.
• Uphold company policies and procedures, including those related to health, safety, and security.
• Participate in remote planning meetings and contribute to operational strategy development.
• Act as a key holder and open/close the store as required.

• Previous experience in a retail environment, with some supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead a team.
• Strong customer service skills and a passion for creating positive shopping experiences.
• Good understanding of retail operations, including inventory management and visual merchandising.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and some evenings.
• Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education is a plus.
