Position based remotely in Sacramento or Davis, CA. The Microscope Sales Representative II position is a career track opportunity to join an elite, professional sales team. We offer in depth training in all phases of the job to build your skills and knowledge. This will position you to act as a technical resource for your customers and local sales team. You and the local territory Research Imaging /Confocal Imaging Sales Representatives will identify customer needs based upon detailed discussions. Using your product and application knowledge, you will provide technical solutions to meet the customer’s microscope, imaging and system needs.

- Function as a resource for the customer using product knowledge and application capabilities in microscopy digital imaging software and confocal microscopy.
- Provide the customer with demonstrations and application notes to address all needs and promote a complete solution.
- Meet sales targets in the growing research microscopy and digital imaging marketplace.
- Collaborate with Scientific sales representatives, marketing personnel, dealers and independent customers to meet sales targets.
- Prepare quotations for customers including detailed software and digital imaging specifications.
- Attend trade and local shows as assigned.
- Plan and conduct major presentations to explain theory and use of software and imaging products for high-end researchers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with leading researchers in the territory to enhance Evident’s reputation, understand account needs, maximize customer service and sell solutions.
- Attend advanced technical and sales training sessions.
- Maintain, manage and be accountable for sample accounts.
- Provide Sales Manager with weekly call reports and forecast updates.
- Work to develop Evident specifications for bids.
- Operate within the Evident America Inc. code of ethics policy.
- Education:
College degree in life sciences or equivalent knowledge. - Experience:
Minimum of 2 to 4 years sales experience in high-end capital equipment sales. - Skills:
Strong interpersonal communications and computer skills. Demonstrated familiarity with digital imaging (software operation and hardware setup), life science research skills, optics and research microscopy and confocal microscopy. - Other Considerations:
Willingness to travel.
