Purpose: Worldwide Supply is a recognized market leader in the network hardware and services marketplace for all networking and telecommunication equipment and services globally. The purpose of the Business Development Executive is to identify, and create new business opportunities nationally with a focus on optical transceivers, optical transport equipment and other complementary optical products.
This person needs to have experience in Layer 1 to Layer 3 Networking technologies and services, specifically network switches/routers, understanding of operating systems/software supporting them and a broad understanding of optical theory, transport technologies and optical transceivers.
The Business Development Executive will be tasked with growing the client base with new targeted accounts focused on the service provider and data center sectors. The effectiveness of the Business Development Executive will be measured by gross profit generated from completed sales and forecasted gross profit from identified projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Generate measurable new sales opportunity through phone, email and in person contact with Director, VP and Executive level clients.
- Develop and implement strategic account plans to be reviewed quarterly.
- Develop and present SWOT reports for significant projects.
- Clearly qualify strategic opportunities in terms of gross profit, resources required for implementation, contractual commitments and project timelines.
- Set up qualified on-site meetings at all levels and document meeting results for the team in a timely manner.
- Expertly articulate the Worldwide Supply’s value proposition and deliver presentations to clients.
- With the support of company resources, lead the development of proposals, marketing documents, ROI analysis and other tools necessary to successfully present the Worldwide Supply value to assigned clients.
- Manage complex contract negotiations and outline contract benefits and risks for the Worldwide Supply executive team.
- Lead in the generation of performance numbers that significantly exceed those of this or any comparable industry.
- Serve as the lead facilitator both internally and externally for projects involving assigned strategic accounts.
- Forecast long and short-range market potential.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Work Experience:
- Has in-depth knowledge of fiber optic hardware solutions, competitor offerings and can demonstrate competitive advantages.
- Experience with various networking platforms
- Mix of business and technical skills with ability to engage with customers in both areas of technology and business strategy
- Knowledge regarding wireless and wireline network technologies
- Experience:
At least (5) years’ experience selling telecommunication equipment and or services in to the telecommunications market.

:
- Excellent presentation skills
- Previous CRM software use preferred.
- Excellent time management, organization and communications skills; oral, written and telephone.
- Excellent relationship building skills.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks and manage a high volume of work.
- Ability to develop long term plans and programs.
- Ability to coordinate or lead employees among different levels of the organization.
- Well organized and self-directed.
