Position SummaryThe Public Sector Account Executive (AE) is responsible for prospecting and selling new business within an assigned territory, targeting municipalities, counties, appraisal districts, and other government entities. The ideal candidate thrives on independence, has a proven track record of closing complex deals in the public sector, and can navigate government procurement cycles.
We are looking for driven sales professionals with a great work ethic and a passion for helping government clients modernize their communication systems. The AE must adopt the company’s proven government sales process and generate results that contribute to our growth in new states. The Sales AE reports directly to the Director of Sales.
Essential Job Functions- Build relationships with decision‑makers in municipalities and county governments.
- Prospect new public sector clients within the assigned state/territory.
- Attend face‑to‑face meetings with elected officials, IT directors, and procurement teams.
- Present tailored VoIP/UCaaS solutions to address agency pain points.
- Document all sales activities in CRM (Hub Spot).
- Manage daily, weekly, and monthly schedules to achieve revenue targets.
- Keep management informed with activity reports, including pipeline updates and forecasted sales.
- Travel within the assigned vertical 50–75%; overnight travel required.
- Proven success selling into municipalities, school districts, or public agencies.
- Understanding of government procurement cycles and compliance requirements.
- Self‑motivated, customer‑focused, and results‑oriented with a strong sense of urgency.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and professional integrity.
- Ability to influence multiple stakeholders and navigate complex decision hierarchies.
- Organized and analytical approach to building territory plans and tracking progress.
- Comfortable in a fast‑paced environment with the ability to learn quickly.
- Ability to self‑manage and work independently in assigned territory.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required);
Bachelor’s degree (preferred). - 2+ years of B2B outside sales experience (public sector or telecom preferred).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Must have a viable home office with dependable internet access.
- Proficiency in G‑Suite, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Base Salary: $60,000.
- Top reps earn $150,000+ with uncapped commissions and lifetime residuals.
50–75% within assigned state/territory; overnight travel required.
Schedule- Monday to Friday; some after‑hours work for public meetings or bid presentations.
- Must reside in or near assigned state/territory (relocation assistance not provided).
Base Salary: $60,000. Top reps earn $150,000+ with uncapped commissions and lifetime residuals.
