Overview
Regional Social Group Sales Manager is a remote-based position with Unique Vacations, Inc., an affiliate of the worldwide representative for Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts. The role supports the Groups Department by identifying and developing new group business opportunities, cultivating leads, building relationships, and providing exceptional service to new accounts.
Responsibilities- Identify, reach, and influence key decision makers in the assigned territory through outside sales calls, in-market promotional events, and proactive sales initiatives.
- Develop new group business opportunities and increase social and wedding group business in the assigned territory.
- Conduct site inspections, plan and participate in sales trips to the territory, and attend trade shows to promote Sandals and Beaches Resorts.
- Educate and entertain qualified potential clients; schedule FAM trips as appropriate.
- Partner with Regional Directors, BDMs, CRC, and PSA travel agents to promote niche market groups and travel advisory events/shows.
- Attend workshops, conventions, and dinners to promote groups; travel extensively domestically and internationally; may require working evenings and weekends.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients; maintain strong time management and organizational skills.
- Work effectively from a remote position and use standard computer systems (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Attend the annual worldwide sales meeting and other company events as required.
- Proven experience in a Sales & Marketing position within a 5-star hotel or hotel group;
Caribbean or resort experience preferred. - Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively.
- Strategic and analytical thinking with attention to detail; capable of building and nurturing relationships with key decision makers.
- Self-confident, proactive, and results-driven with the ability to travel extensively domestically and internationally.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and related systems.
- Education:
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or equivalent;
Master’s degree preferred. - Experience:
5+ years in administrative management or leadership roles.
