Job SummaryThe Regional Sales Manager reports to the Director of Business Development and leads and executes sales strategies within the Northeast Territory (NY, CT, MA, PA) to drive incremental growth from independent agents through regular contacts and training. Working closely with agents, brokers, and other distribution partners, the manager expands market share, enhances client relationships, and aligns with underwriting and profitability goals.
The role involves analyzing market trends, identifying new business opportunities, and collaborating cross‑functionally with underwriting, claims, and marketing teams to deliver tailored insurance solutions for small to mid‑size commercial clients. Regular travel up to 60% of the time is required; this is an individual contributor role.
- Identify key independent agents that can utilize ISC products to assist their customers.
- Train new agents and agency employees on ISC products and processes.
- Meet with agents and their staff in their offices on a regular basis.
- Add additional agencies to your territory that drive growth.
- Drive new and renewal production from assigned agencies.
- Partner with marketing, sales, and product development teams to implement business development initiatives.
- Assist in the roll‑out of new program offerings.
- Facilitate product webinars and website demonstrations.
- Participate in industry trade shows designed to drive additional business.
- Travel up to 60% of the year.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 4+ years of previous sales and/or marketing experience.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in the commercial insurance industry is a plus, but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, with aptitude to navigate software easily.
- Ability to travel up to 60% of the year.
