Position: Account Manager Germany (NL-based/Home Office) – f/m/d

We are conquering the market for sustainable detergents, cleaning products and personal care. Our mission? “Feel Good Cleaning!” Our company produces and sells sustainable products. We started in 2016 and our products are now available in about 5,000 Western European stores. Enthusiastic consumers, bloggers and buyers think our sustainable cleaning products are fantastic, ensuring solid growth for our company. Every year, we sell millions of products.

We are looking for a new Soapstar! The ideal candidate enjoys developing quick solutions for challenges encountered in a scale-up environment and is not afraid to take immediate action. We value proactive individuals who prefer doing over talking, embodying the Dutch saying, "put your money where your mouth is". As a small team, your work will range from strategic to practical, allowing you to make a noticeable impact daily.

Our products are manufactured in eight factories, primarily in the Netherlands. We have an office in an old domestic science school in Haarlem, with most work done remotely. Our team works energetically towards growth.

What you will do

As an energetic Account Manager Germany, you will develop and expand our customer base in the German-speaking market (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). Focus segments include food/retail, drugstores, wholesale, and others like gardening and home improvement stores. You will identify key parties to place our products on shelves, grow existing accounts, and generate new retail opportunities. You are a self-starter, eager to find and seize opportunities independently, driven by results, and committed to regional growth.

Effective communication internally and externally ensures sound planning with substantial investments and corresponding growth. Within our team, responsibilities are shared fluidly, facilitating quick adaptation.

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate enjoys devising quick, effective solutions in a fast-growing company and is ready to act immediately. You thrive in a dynamic environment, balancing strategy with practicality, and are comfortable with chaos while adding structure. Residing in Germany, you have several years of FMCG experience, understand retail practices, and are result-oriented. Your work makes a difference daily, with immediate visibility of your impact.

Proficiency in Excel is essential for data-driven proposals.

Must haves:
  • Min 3 years experience as account manager and/or trade marketing, preferably in drug chains, discounters, LEH, etc.
  • Native German speaker
  • Good knowledge of Excel and trade marketing
  • Strong sales skills and understanding of retail practices
  • Experience in creating annual account plans, conducting year-end reviews, and managing pricing
  • Solid understanding of trade marketing
