Compensation

Base pay range: $85,000.00/yr - $/yr. This range is provided by Esperion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Achieve individual territory sales goals as approved by Esperion Commercial Leadership
  • Review performance metrics with Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to ensure territory is achieving maximum sales results
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with key customers in the assigned geography
  • Effectively promote and educate Health Care Providers (HCPs) on the use of Esperion products through one-on-one meetings, virtual engagements, company-approved promotional speaker programs, and other company-approved programs
  • Analyze local market trends, develop, execute and monitor performance and results to maximize the appropriate use of Esperion products
  • Demonstrate successful use of sales and marketing tools and resources to achieve business objectives
  • Demonstrate and maintain knowledge of product payor coverage to deliver against market access objectives for the assigned territory
  • Periodically attend local, regional and national congresses to promote Esperion brands to HCP attendees
  • Complete administrative tasks such as sample inventory, call submissions and reporting, expense management, vehicle mileage reporting, and related duties
  • Ensure compliance with all corporate policies and procedures, complete required compliance training, and demonstrate behaviors aligned with company values
  • Follow expense report guidelines and adhere to the allocated territory budget
  • Establish and maintain effective communications among RSMs and Territory Managers; organize and monitor performance to achieve the territory’s potential
  • Monitor and align Sales and Marketing efforts and ensure high standards for executing business initiatives
  • Work with sales leadership and Market Access to maximize pull-through from commercial and government payers
  • Maintain vendor credentialing requirements for entities such as Vendor Mate and Rep Trax to access customer locations
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications (Education & Experience)
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred degree in sciences (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Kinesiology, Pre-med, other STEM) and 1-3 years of pharmaceutical or relevant sales experience; or equivalent education and experience
  • Military background or similar experience demonstrating drive and discipline also considered
  • Experience calling on or working with Health Care Professionals preferred but not required
  • Willing and able to travel up to 30% including overnight stays for territory business and occasional Regional and National Sales Meetings
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record that meets Esperion employment standards
  • Documented track record of consistent high performance in sales, academics, athletics, or other endeavours
  • Desire to work in a start-up environment or entrepreneurial sales model with sole responsibility of product promotion within a large geographic territory
  • Ability to embrace a performance-driven and growth culture

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to influence and work with varied audiences, including customers, colleagues, scientific and technical leaders
