TerritorySales Manager
– Role Overview
As the Territory Sales Manager, you will be integral to the continued growth and success of Weil‑McLain. You will understand and develop your assigned territory to maximize revenue and growth targets. You will devise sales strategies, analyze data, identify sales opportunities, and address customer concerns to strengthen and grow your territory.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a designated territory by identifying potential customers, contractors, and distributors and create a strategic plan to engage them.
- Proactively seek out and engage new customers, contractors, and distributors to expand market presence and increase sales.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets, including cross‑selling and upselling opportunities.
- Prepare estimates, proposals, and key account plans.
- Represent Weil‑McLain product line during regional and national trade shows and industry events.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product management, customer service, production) to provide feedback on customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities.
- Maintain strong relationships with current and prospective customers, contractors, and distributors through regular communication and follow‑up.
- Deliver product and technical training to enhance customer understanding and promote products.
- Create and maintain records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline using CRM tools.
- Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to identify areas for improvement and recommend action plans.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and identify new business opportunities.
- Participate in other projects as assigned that relate to department and organization goals.
- At least 2 years of territory sales experience in a closely related industry.
- Experience with channel management.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
- Solid understanding of sales principles, techniques, and best practices.
- Technical understanding of product features, functions, benefits, installation, and application; ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Prior experience delivering technical training.
- Exceptional negotiation, persuasive, and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with experience interpreting sales data and market trends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel at least 80% of the time.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, or related field preferred.
- Driver’s license and proof of insurance required.
