Technical Sales Representative (St. Louis, MO), Mobile OEM Sales

Evolution Motion Solutions is hiring a Technical Sales Representative for Mobile OEM Sales based in St. Louis, MO. This full‑time role reports to the Vice President of Mobile Sales and involves approximately 1,500 miles of travel per month. The position is remote, based out of our Glendale Heights, IL facility.

Responsible for promoting and selling Evolution’s motion control solutions to complex applications in hydraulic, electrical, automation, pneumatic, controls and lubrication sectors. Partners with customers to identify needs, provide technical solutions, conduct presentations, and manage profitability.

• Product Knowledge:
  In-depth understanding of technical details of Evolution’s partner suppliers.
• Customer Engagement:
  Determine customer needs and provide technical solutions.
• Sales Presentations:
  Conduct compelling, technically sound presentations.
• Technical Support:
  Provide pre‑sales technical assistance and support.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with supplier partners on product updates.
• Profitability:
  Manage overall profitability of each customer.
• Sales Targets:
  Meet or exceed sales targets and pursue new business opportunities.
• Relationship Building:
  Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Documentation:
  Prepare and maintain accurate records of sales activities and interactions.

Headquartered in Farmers Branch, TX with additional offices across the U.S. and Canada. This position will be remotely based out of our Glendale Heights, IL facility.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field is desired but not required; high school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience: Proven track record in sales of technical products or services.
• Skills & Abilities:
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical concepts.
  • Effective communication with engineers and technical designers.
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; persuasive and influence others.
  • Aptitude to negotiate and close deals, understanding technical and business aspects.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Physical Demands: Sedentary work with occasional standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds; must travel and move around customer sites.
• Work Environment: May require standing, walking, sitting; use of hands; able to lift up to 25 lbs. Must drive or ride in a vehicle.
