Employer Industry: Educational Publishing and Events

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets within the assigned territory
  • Identify new business opportunities and cultivate relationships with prospective customers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to understand their needs
  • Manage territory activities including prospecting, lead generation, and sales forecasting
  • Stay informed about industry trends and gather market intelligence to inform sales strategies
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • Minimum of two (2) years of proven successful sales experience in telephone sales, personal selling, and customer service
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or related field
  • Strong understanding of sales techniques, negotiation skills, and closing strategies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective customer relationship building
  • Proficiency with MS Office software and CRM technology, including Sales Force
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Experience in educational sales or fundraising environments
  • Familiarity with the K-12 education market and its stakeholders
  • Ability to utilize telecommuting software such as Zoom, Web Ex, or Microsoft Teams effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse audiences
