What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and maximize sales opportunities within the assigned territory
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to understand their needs and drive incremental revenue
- Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within customer organizations
- Effectively manage territory activities including prospecting, lead generation, and sales forecasting
- Stay informed about industry trends and customer needs to inform sales strategies and product development initiatives
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of two (2) years of proven successful sales experience in telephone sales, personal selling, and customer service
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or related field
- Strong understanding of sales techniques, negotiation skills, and closing strategies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and telephone skills
- Proficiency with MS Office software and CRM technology
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in educational sales or knowledge of the educational publishing industry
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools, such as Sales Force
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across various levels of an organization
- Ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
