What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets within the assigned territory.
  • Identify new business opportunities and cultivate relationships with prospective customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, focusing on their needs and preferences.
  • Manage territory activities, including prospecting, lead generation, and sales forecasting.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and customer needs to inform sales strategies.
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Minimum of two (2) years of proven successful sales experience in telephone sales, personal selling, and customer service.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of sales techniques, negotiation skills, and closing strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and CRM software, including Sales Force.
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience in educational sales or related industry.
  • Familiarity with market dynamics and competitive landscape in educational publishing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of telecommuting software such as Zoom, Web Ex, or Microsoft Teams.
