Account Executive – Thomson Reuters

We’re looking for an ambitious and results‑driven Account Executive to lead new and existing account development within our legal solutions business.

Responsibilities
  • Prospecting: actively search for new business opportunities with both new and existing customers to build a strong sales pipeline. Keep the pipeline clean and up to date, aiming for 3–4 times coverage of monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Account Management: manage a list of major accounts (companies with revenues of $500M+) through the entire sales process, including account planning, deal closing, and renewal.
  • Sales Goals: meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Cross‑functional

    Collaboration:

    work closely with marketing, product, legal and other teams to tailor solutions to customer needs.
  • Relationship Building: establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision‑makers and stakeholders.
  • Salesforce Maintenance: update the CRM () with accurate records of sales activities for reliable forecasts. Engage in client meetings in person or via MS Teams.
Qualifications
  • College degree preferred with a minimum of 5 years direct field sales experience (corporate sector preferred) and a proven sales quota track record.
  • Proven success selling complex, enterprise software ($500M+ revenue targets) with a consultative, value‑based approach.
  • Experience engaging C‑suite using solution selling to uncover business challenges and quantify impact of inaction.
  • Skilled at leading multi‑stakeholder, detailed sales processes and managing full‑cycle deals from prospecting to close.
  • Self‑starter with a growth mindset, comfortable with ambiguity and driving change.
  • Strong cross‑functional collaboration with marketing, product, legal to achieve shared outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of AI and its application to improve legal department operations; mission‑driven.
  • Adept at developing and executing account plans; contributes to sales strategy, culture, value proposition, and tools.
