Job ResponsibilitiesThe Regional Sales Manager is responsible for building the Draeger Fire and Gas Detection Systems business in the assigned geographic territory through new business development with identified target customers and growing the installed base with existing customers, including service contracts. The RSM also manages and drives manufacturer’s representatives as necessary within the territory.
Strategic Territory/Scope Management- Identifies potential target end‑users and prioritizes accounts to produce the best results using both direct and indirect sales channels and strategies.
- Builds a strong distributor network aligned with the company's distributor and vertical market strategy.
- Maintains a high awareness of market trends and competition and shares this information with stakeholders.
- Develops an annual sales plan and applies territory management techniques to maximize productivity, planning sales activities 30‑60 days in advance.
- Conducts research as part of the pre‑call planning process to identify key decision makers and influencers.
- Probes to understand customer needs based on their application and promotes value, not price.
- Demonstrates expert knowledge and differentiates Draeger by presenting products and services as solutions to customer needs.
- Stays current with safety regulations and policies related to the Draeger product being sold.
- Utilizes tools such as CRM and office software, maintaining accurate, up‑to‑date records.
- Controls expenses within budgetary guidelines.
- Manages consignment and demo equipment to ensure accurate record keeping and cost‑effective utilization.
- Designs, plans, and offers elaboration for complex product and application solutions.
- Oversees bid/tender/RFP processes and price negotiations.
- Coordinates project sales with internal resources and customers for solution implementation.
- Executes service agreements in collaboration with Draeger Service and external providers.
Education: Bachelor's degree in business or a related technical discipline from an accredited university.

Experience:
5+ years selling within the Industrial Market (Oil, Gas, Food, Manufacturing, etc.)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
- Ability to perform routine arithmetic calculations and understand pricing structures and gross margin.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer and office equipment proficiency.
- Understanding of technical aspects of our products and applications.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
- Residence within the covered territory.
Base salary of $85,000 plus uncapped commission. On‑Target Earnings (OTE) are $125,000 annually at 100% quota, with the potential to exceed this based on individual results.
