Help Akamai expand our market reach.

You'll be responsible for selling Akamai solutions to new customers across Germany. Working with marketing on demand generation, you'll be working lock step with your Solutions Engineer to deal closure. You'll be supported by cross-functional internal teams, from product specialists, partner managers & marketing all chartered with the same goal. To drive faster new customer acquisition in the Region.

As a Major Account Executive, you will be responsible for:

  • Account Planning & execution against your Target Account List.
  • Demonstrating your hunting strategy through adopting a 'right solution, right time' approach, meeting your target customers' needs.
  • Collaborating with Sales Specialists, Marketing & Channel Teams on your Hunting Strategy.
  • Maintaining sales pipeline, accurate monthly and quarterly forecasting.
  • Applying of 'hunting' sales tools & best practices.
  • Working with integrated cross-functional teams, ensuring your customers realise the Value of their Akamai services during onboarding.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have experience selling enterprise-class technology software, SaaS, internet-based technology solutions to enterprise class companies.
  • Demonstrate experience of account management with short term and long term planning, selling value at C-Level.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of technology and the Internet, including cybersecurity.
  • Have experience working in a collaborative, results oriented environment building executive level relationships with high-level customers.
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills with fluency in both German and English
