Territory Sales Manager - Central CT at WORLDPAC
We are looking for an experienced Territory Sales Manager to lead and grow sales in Central Connecticut.
Job DescriptionThe Territory Sales Manager manages and directs a sales force to achieve sales and profit goals by designing and recommending new sales programs. Additionally, you will evaluate and execute appropriate new sales techniques to increase sales volume while ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities- Develop sales in assigned territory through visits to existing and prospective customers.
- Compile market and customer data to develop sales leads and travel throughout the territory to showcase products and programs.
- Maintain territory records and expense accounts.
- Prepare reports of market conditions, competitor activity, and growth opportunities, focusing on maximizing customer potential.
- Provide senior leadership with essential information and prepare accurate, timely sales reports and departmental budgets.
- Maintain long‑term relationships with customers and strategic business partners.
Job Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Basic business mathematics and business report analysis.
- Attention to detail, multitasking, and ability to work under deadline pressure.
- Excellent negotiation, organization, and prioritization skills.
- Strong presentation and communication skills; ability to interact with internal and external customers at all levels.
- Strategic thinking and effective change management.
- Working knowledge of automotive systems and the automotive aftermarket, including WORLDPAC products and services.
- Capability to conceptualize and execute sales programs and strategies.
- 4‑6 years of automotive aftermarket sales or sales management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 5 years of prior leadership experience.
- Occasional travel (≈ one week per quarter).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Extremely organized and able to prioritize effectively.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
- Able to create, compose, and edit written materials.
- Exercising independence and discretion.
- Associate’s degree preferred.
- Strong long‑term customer relationship development.
- Proven success in meeting and exceeding sales goals.
- Adaptive in changing environments and embraces continuous improvement.
- 1‑3 years of related experience.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Associate’s degree preferred.
Physical DemandsRegular sitting, talking, listening; frequent walking; occasional standing and use of hands. Ability to lift up to 10 lbs routinely and up to 25 lbs occasionally. Requires close, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
Work EnvironmentOccasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals. Background noise usually low to moderate. Remote position with occasional travel.
Posted Salary RangeUSD $69,000.00 – $86,200.00 per year.
