The Business Development Rep (BDR) is part of a dynamic team that helps Racket's clients enter a new phase of growth. The BDR will be an individual contributor responsible for generating leads, setting demos, and appointments for their prospective clients.
The ideal BDR has a strong understanding of the sales process to successfully research new leads, contact prospects via multiple channels, and develop new relationships. This person should also be a quick learner with strong communication skills that is able to showcase our product line in a confident and compelling way.
This position is 100% remote anywhere in the US.
This is WHAT you do- Represent the company’s products and services, using comprehensive knowledge as well as consumer research to explain how our solutions meet customer needs.
- Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding potential new sales opportunities.
- Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage sales executives in next steps.
- Identify best practices for refining the company’s lead-generation playbook.
- Utilize cold calls, email, and social media to generate new sales opportunities.
- Identify the needs of prospects, and suggest appropriate uses of our tool set to solve those problems.
- Build long-term, trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities.
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.
- Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and sales executives.
- Report to sales manager with weekly results.
- Proven, creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills.
- Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organization.
- Strong confidence and the ability to accept rejection.

- Two or more years of experience in sales, with a track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or at least two years of relevant work experience.
- Experience as a sales development representative, with a track record of achieving sales quotas.
- Proficiency with CRM software.
- Familiarity with ERP’s and manufacturing.
- Commission.
