The Business Development Rep (BDR) is part of a dynamic team that helps Racket's clients enter a new phase of growth. The BDR will be an individual contributor responsible for generating leads, setting demos, and appointments for their prospective clients.

The ideal BDR has a strong understanding of the sales process to successfully research new leads, contact prospects via multiple channels, and develop new relationships. This person should also be a quick learner with strong communication skills that is able to showcase our product line in a confident and compelling way.

This position is 100% remote anywhere in the US.

This is WHAT you do
  • Represent the company’s products and services, using comprehensive knowledge as well as consumer research to explain how our solutions meet customer needs.
  • Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding potential new sales opportunities.
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage sales executives in next steps.
  • Identify best practices for refining the company’s lead-generation playbook.
This is HOW you do it
  • Utilize cold calls, email, and social media to generate new sales opportunities.
  • Identify the needs of prospects, and suggest appropriate uses of our tool set to solve those problems.
  • Build long-term, trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and sales executives.
  • Report to sales manager with weekly results.

  • Proven, creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills.
  • Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organization.
  • Strong confidence and the ability to accept rejection.
  • Remote Work Expertise (Tech Savvy and Organized).
  • Remote Work Setting (Dedicated Space, Internet, Equipment, Etc.).
This is what will give you an EDGE
  • Two or more years of experience in sales, with a track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or at least two years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience as a sales development representative, with a track record of achieving sales quotas.
  • Proficiency with CRM software.
  • Familiarity with ERP’s and manufacturing.
