This remote position with travel can be located in the Southern Plains, with Amarillo, TX or Garden City, KS preferred.

The Feedlot Technical Specialist will support commercial growth of Zinpro Feedlot sales by leveraging beef industry knowledge, beef cattle management understanding, and nutritional expertise. They will provide technical training for the sales team and Zinpro’s global customers, ensuring all are well-equipped to promote and sell.

They will work alongside account managers and independently to grow, develop, and implement sales and account strategies to achieve sales growth, and contribute to building our global strategy for beef.

• Close collaboration with product development, technical services, and sales teams to determine priorities.
• Grow sales through enhanced customer relationships and technical knowledge about products within the beef industry.
• Partner with the North American and global sales teams to provide technical support and expertise to internal and external stakeholders.
• Help deliver Zinpro business goals, promoting product benefits to customers and key influencers.
• Develop and execute annual sales strategies for assigned accounts based on strategic importance, market trends, and customer data.
• Retain and expand strong relationships with large, complex, and strategic customers and key influencers.
• Assist in directing, coordinating, and summarizing beef research studies, identifying insights to share internally and externally.
• Create presentations, economic models, and other tools to enhance customer satisfaction and product sales.
• Prepare and present technical product presentations to a broad range of audiences.
• Utilize statistical and data visualization tools to analyze and present complex data.
• Provide conclusions and recommendations to customers.
• Maintain standing within the scientific community through meetings and contacts with university and research personnel.
• Remain current on latest beef research findings and technologies.
• Provide on-farm technical support in product sales, leveraging practical cattle management knowledge.
• Evaluate findings to develop new concepts, products, equipment, or applications.

• Doctorate degree (PhD, DVM) in Beef Nutrition or a related field.
• 3+ years of related experience and/or training in the beef industry.
• Experience providing technical services to internal and external customers.
• Experience conducting ruminant animal research studies.
• Advanced computer skills (spreadsheets, statistical analysis, presentation software).
• Ability to work in a cross‑functional team environment.
• Effective presentation skills to top management, public groups, and scientific peers.
• Excellent communication with all levels internally and externally.
• Preferred:
  Passion for creating and communicating value and solutions to team members and customers.

Work consists of standard office, long periods in a motor vehicle, farms, animal producers, manufacturing facilities, and client/customers facilities.

Core business hours; after‑hours and weekend calls, customer/client events & meetings, and industry events required.

Domestic travel; approximately 50% of work nights away from home office.
