Job Description

Serve as the overall account lead (single point of contact) for multiple large named accounts across a defined geographic territory or industry. Manage client relationships, understand business and IT challenges, and drive value while maximizing revenue and margin. Focus on sales of computers, servers, storage, services, and printers, including complex solutions and new business opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Develop account plans and long‑term sales pipelines to increase market share.
  • Focus on larger deals, portfolio management, and selling a wide range of company products and solutions.
  • Work with management to develop future business plans and determine methods for achieving those plans.
  • Leverage diverse external partners to support sales activities.
  • Build strong professional relationships with key IT and business executives, including C‑level.
  • Apply consultative‑selling techniques to identify and advance profitable opportunities.
  • Maintain high customer loyalty and trust, as reflected in company surveys.
  • Advocate client needs in solution negotiations and troubleshoot delivery issues.
  • Develop business plans in collaboration with customers.
  • Analyze industry and competitive research to facilitate client dialogue.
  • Actively manage accounts to protect and grow business, including forecasts, planning, and reporting.
  • Coordinate all account activities and maintain a clear sales pipeline.
  • Drive new business generation and monitor sales pipeline activity.
  • Achieve and manage quarterly, half‑yearly, and annual quotas and/or margin targets.
  • Enter all opportunities in the pipeline tool and update them weekly.
  • Build a list of customers willing to serve as references.
  • Implement margin recovery activities and strategies.
  • Serve as first interface for international accounts with global and local teams.
  • Identify customer requirements and match them with company capabilities.
Education and Experience Required
  • University or bachelor’s degree; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 12+ years of relevant selling experience.
  • 5+ years of commercial account management experience.
  • Deep product expertise in computers, printers, servers, or storage.
  • Experience in related industry sectors.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Motivate partners to sell solutions.
  • Excellent time‑management and presentation skills.
  • Strong executive relationship building at C‑level and board level.
  • High‑level negotiation skills under pricing pressures.
  • Advanced sales negotiation and solution positioning.
  • Partner organization intelligence and close partner collaboration.
  • Financial‑selling techniques to position value.
  • End‑to‑end management of complex, large deals.
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of client industry and trends.
  • Comprehensive understanding of company solutions.
  • Translate customer business issues to company solutions.
  • Prioritize and drive strategic sales activity for large deals.
  • Competitive selling skills across platforms.
