Business Development Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

The Business Development Specialist (BDS) at Doble Engineering will be responsible for supporting Business Development Activities; by proactively driving end customer quoting/proposal activities. The BDS will work collectively within the Sales team. This is a remote position and reports directly to the National Sales Director.

• Manage quoting/proposal activities to include generation of Salesforce opportunities.
• Create Salesforce opportunities to manage customer requirements.
• Prepare and maintain a repository of templates, standard language, and product collateral.
• Participate in gathering technical information for Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Quotes (RFQ) and Request for Information (RFI).
• Build technical competence to facilitate opportunity qualification.
• Engage with internal resources including Offer Management, Engineering, Marketing and Sales Ops.
• Attend and actively participate in Doble events.
• Participate in qualifying web generated leads to identify sales opportunities.
• Manage schedule, priorities, travel, and manage company expectations.
• Ensure that business transactions remain in compliance with the legal requirements of laws and policies such as Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), Sarbanes‑Oxley Act, UK Anti‑Bribery Act of 2010, policies of the US Office of Foreign Assets Control ("OFAC"), US sanctions policies and localized trade laws and/or policies.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Domestic travel may be required up to 30%; valid passport required.

• Bachelor's degree in a business or technical‑related field or equivalent

• 1-2 years of experience in using a CRM system such as Salesforce

While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co‑workers, and customers. Must use assistance when lifting 50 or more pounds.

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job related skills, as well as relevant education or training experience.
Salary Pay Range Minimum $74,997.84 - Midpoint $93,747.30
