Job Description
- Meet quota and sales revenue targets created by sales management – be accountable for meeting or exceeding the orders and sales operational plan.
- Execute the sales strategy for Industrial Energy Accounts, including Oil & Gas, Utilities, and Water/Wastewater.
- Develop new leads and market opportunities in the territory to maintain a robust pipeline.
- Develop and execute commercial strategy within accounts.
- Leverage solution selling techniques to qualify leads and manage the sales process end‑to‑end.
- Convey a needs analysis quickly to determine engagement models.
- Build strong working relationships with our services team to provide clear understanding of the Company solution and capabilities.
- Manage sales opportunities for new and existing accounts through CRM.
- Work with customers to determine requirements and appropriate solutions.
- Present and sell the value of our offerings to benefit customers.
- Influence specifications and close key deals.
- Develop and cultivate long‑term relationships at all levels of customer organizations.
- Partner with peers and management to enhance selling techniques.
- Leverage existing distributor channels and manufacturer sales managers to extend reach within the territory.
- Develop sufficient technical expertise in company’s offerings.
- Provide deep market segment knowledge and expertise.
- Provide market dynamics input such as competitive intelligence to the marketing and business team.
- Make effective customer presentations at all levels of the customers’ organizations.
- Work closely with cross‑functional sales and sales support departments to respond to requests and suggest improvements to collateral.
- Travel up to 50% of the time to various locations.
- Must be able to drive a vehicle, have a clean driving record, and have a valid driver’s license.
- Define and build relationships with key decision makers.
- Three years of sales experience.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, relationship management and time management skills.
- Knowledge of IIoT, sensors, automation, controls, and instrumentation.
- Self‑starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel regionally and nationally, and drive to client locations.
- This is a remote position, working from a home office with travel.
